Once a month the children go to Chapel and participate in a 15 to 20-minute worship time, where they sing songs, pray and hear a short story. It’s a special time for the children to make connections with the church staff and hear the word of God. Pastor James and Mrs. Holly direct Chapel, learn more about them below.
Pastor James Dollins finds great joy in partnering with people of faith to serve a world in need. Raised in Escondido, California, he graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in English, studied abroad at the University of Costa Rica where he became fluent in Spanish, then earned a Masters in Divinity at Garret-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois.
Holly is a long-time member of our church. Having come through our program as a child and youth, Holly has been active in children’s ministry here for years, particularly in leading VBS and special family worship services. Holly has worked for the San Diego Unified School District since 1996, holding many positions including classroom teacher, site resource teacher, curriculum specialist, and mathematics coach.
