From July 25th to August 3rd, the church will undertake a significant remodeling project of three classrooms. The goal is to renovate three classrooms in one week! Rooms 2, 5, and 10 will be remodeled July 25th – August 3rd! New cabinets, floors, paint, light fixtures, air conditioners, and hardware will all be replaced. Three additional classrooms will be remodeled each year (2026 and 2027) during the break between summer and fall; it will take three years to complete all nine classrooms. NEW – Extended Day Care (EDC)Starting August 11th, drop-in care will be available for any child registered at SCUMP from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Your child can attend EDC on a day when they are not scheduled to be in class. You don’t need to plan care in advance; drop your child off at any time. The class will be multi-age and will provide various activities that meet the exact requirements of your child’s regular class, while offering families the flexibility of childcare on days your child is not scheduled to attend. The cost is only $10/per hour. Throughout the school year, you will have the opportunity to order Scholastic Books each month. You are under no obligation to purchase these books; however many classic and award-winning selections are offered at considerable savings over bookstore prices. Reading aloud to children should never be undervalued. It should be seen as a shared activity, a worthwhile way to spend time and definitely a pleasure. Reading should have a prominent place in your daily schedule at all ages. Click HERE to be directed to the Scholastic Web page. Our School code is GL8RZ.
