School Readiness Meeting Wednesday, January 29th | 6:00-7:00 PM
If your child was born in 2020 or earlier, this meeting is for you! Join us to learn about school district expectations for UTK and Kindergarten. Rachel Mann, an experienced SDUSD Kindergarten teacher, will provide insights into school readiness, focusing on: social emotional development and curriculum.

2024 Child Care Tax Statements
Cindy will email your 2024 tax statements in mid-January. Keep an eye out for an email from SCUMPinvoices.com.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
January 27th – February 7th

Our teachers have been hard at work observing and assessing your child’s development using the ASQ-3 (Ages and Stages Questionnaire). This tool provides insights into key developmental areas, including:

• Communication
• Gross Motor Skills
• Fine Motor Skills
• Problem-Solving
• Personal-Social Skills

Assessments will be sent home on January 21st and 22nd, and observations will be handed out or available for pickup in the office. Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place between January 27th and February 7th. Sign-up sheets will be outside your child’s classroom.

Conferences are an excellent opportunity to discuss your child’s development, curriculum, and kindergarten readiness. If you need to reschedule, please contact your child’s teacher directly. We are here to accommodate your needs.

National School Choice Week
January 27th-31st

National School Choice Week celebrates the importance of empowering families to choose the best educational options for their children. We’re honored you’ve chosen San Carlos Preschool!

During this week, classrooms will:

• Discuss what makes SCUMP a great place to grow.
• Decorate classroom doors with “Why We Love Our School.”

We’re also holding our Kindergarten Readiness Meeting to support you in making the best decision for your child’s future. Thank you for being part of our community!

Extended Day Care (EDC)

Extended Day Care is available every day from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Your child can attend on days they are scheduled for class. Charges for EDC and lunch will be added to your monthly statement.

• EDC: $8.00 per hour
• Hot Lunch: $3.50
